My Background
I graduated with a B.S. in Journalism with minors in French & Spanish from the University of Kansas. After studying abroad in Barcelona & Paris, I knew I wanted to work internationally. I joined Media Plus as a sales consultant just after college and worked in markets including Austria, Italy, the Bahamas, Poland, Latvia and Malaysia. Upon returning to the U.S., I worked for The Nob Hill Gazette in San Francisco as an Account Representative and later as an Economic Developer for the City of Zurich, Switzerland. I am now the Director of U.S. Recruiting for Media Plus.

My idea of the ideal candidate?
The ideal candidate is independent, able to think outside the box and flexible.  You have traveled internationally, graduated from college and preferably have some sales experience.  You are energetic, positive, professional and you know what you want and you want to work for us!

What is the most important quality I look for in an applicant?
The most important qualities are your enthusiasm for sales and passion to see the world.  You must believe in the process of selling and be eager and excited to go anywhere in the world.

Why should you apply for the job of ‘ International Sales Consultant’?
I still consider this position to be one of the best jobs in the world, especially for people in their 20’s.  Not only do you get to see the world and experience living and working in other cultures, but you get to learn sales and potentially make a lot of money.  You also grow so much as a person and meet lifelong friends along the way.
